Old Cigar Box with Fabulous Carved Flying Squirrel on Top victorian cyanotype 3 5/8" in diameterPure joy and delight finding this one yesterday in New Hampshire I'm just sorry that photos don't do justice to this fabulous red flying squirrel! The box is an old wooden cigar box, left in tact but for the lid which was very energetically carved into all over (and colored with some crayon markings too), with the squirrel the marvelous focal point, its front paws about to hit one edge and its hind leg and fluffy tail the other.
